QA Engineer (Junior-Mid) Current

Dobaato, Kathmandu · placed on an Australian client's product

  • Turn requirements and user stories into test cases and scenarios for web and Android.
  • Run smoke, sanity, regression, exploratory and cross-browser passes. Log each defect and follow it to resolution.
  • Build Playwright browser automation inside an agentic QA workflow, using AI tools for test design and defect analysis.
  • Take part in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives with developers and product stakeholders.

Sep 2025 to Jun 2026

Software QA Engineer

CareKernel, remote for an Australian team · healthcare SaaS for NDIS providers

  • Designed and ran 100+ manual test cases across functional, regression and UI/UX scenarios on web and Android.
  • Wrote and ran Playwright (TypeScript) automation scripts in Antigravity for login and core workflows.
  • Tested APIs in Postman across rostering, session management, SOS and billing. Checked status codes, response payloads and response times.
  • Found the shift-switching defect described in the case study below.

Jun to Aug 2025

Software QA Engineer Intern

CareKernel, remote

  • Ran manual functional and regression tests on web and mobile healthcare platforms.
  • Wrote QA documentation and test reports that supported release readiness.

Execution

Functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, end-to-end, cross-browser and UI/UX testing.

Mobile

Manual testing on Android devices.

API testing

REST checks in Postman. Browser DevTools for network and console evidence.

Defect tracking

Jira defects with environment, steps, expected and actual results, then retest and closure.

Automation

Playwright with TypeScript for browser tests, written in the Antigravity editor, with ChatGPT and Claude for AI-assisted test design.

Case study

The shift that showed the wrong name

Where

Rostering, shift switching

Healthcare SaaS platform used by NDIS providers, tested at CareKernel.

Finding

Wrong shift name on overlap

When shift times overlapped, the screen displayed an incorrect shift name.

Risk

Wrong payroll figures

The mismatch could have produced incorrect payroll calculations for client staff.

Outcome

Logged and tracked in Jira

I reported it as a critical edge case and tracked it through resolution.

Deliverables

How my test artifacts look

These four samples show the format I use, on an invented password-reset feature. They are not client data. Real client work stays private.

Automated tests for a to-do app and a product search page

The to-do tests cover adding, toggling, deleting, editing and filtering, with negative and boundary cases. I wrote the product search tests first, then built the page with AI help until they passed. The README lists my assumptions and next steps.

Expense manager for daily spending

A web app I built and use to track my own expenses. It shows I can read a product from the user's side, which helps when I write test cases.
